In 2008, following a distinguished twenty-five year judicial career, Judge John Letton began providing alternative dispute resolution services in Northern California.

Judge Letton charges $350. per hour for mediations and other ADR work within 150 miles of his residence (this includes the counties of Shasta, Trinity, Siskiyou, Humboldt, Tehama and Butte) and $375. per hour at more distant locations. As a general rule he does not charge for travel time or travel expenses. If professional services require him to overnight away from home he charges a modest per diem for lodging and meals. No fees are incurred until all questions concerning conflicts of interest, the availability of parties and attorneys, time, and location have been resolved and Judge Letton has confirmed these matters in a formal engagement letter. Judge Letton is not restricted by affiliation with any large ADR provider and can therefore discuss reduced fees or pro bono services for community organizations.
